A SHED was severely damaged by fire in a Langport garden.
Firefighters were called to Knole Causeway, in Long Sutton, yesterday (August 3) after a report from a member of the public who reported a shed fire in his garden at just before 8pm.
Crews from Somerton and Martock were immediately mobilised.
"On arrival, the Incident Commander confirmed that a shed containing wood was well alight and got crews to work to tackle the fire using hose reel jets, breathing apparatus, a main jet and a safety jet," said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
"A covering jet was also used to protect the nearby property."
The shed was approximately 75% destroyed by fire, they added.
