TRAFFIC was held up on the M5 this morning (Wednesday_ - by a goat.
Police were called to grab the animal after it was spotted roaming on the carriageway at Junction 23, the exit for Bridgwater.
The goat was captured by police and returned to the nearby field it had escaped from.
DC Sam Donati took to social media, saying: "Goat handling definitely not on the training course!
"Apologies for the hold up on the M5 this morning. Loose goat on the carriageway. Thankfully safely rescued."
He added: "No puns please, they really get my goat."
