FIREFIGHTERS were called to rescue a two-year-old girl who managed to get into an unlikely predicament earlier today (Sunday, August 9).
Firefighters from Wellington were sent to a property in Station Road, Wellington, at around 11.30am, after a call reporting that a child was stuck after getting their leg caught in a stair gate.
On arrival the crews set to work assessing the best way to release the two-year-old girl from her predicament.
They used hydraulic spreaders to create enough space for her leg to be released from the stair gate uninjured, much to the relief of her grateful parents.
