I AM sure we have all seen, in recent days, well-meaning dog owners walking their dogs in the midday sun.
Their owners might be enjoying the sun, but in the exceptionally high temperatures Somerset is currently experiencing, it is far too hot for dogs to be out walking at the hottest time of the day.
Not only are their bodies getting very over-heated, but the dog's paws are also burning on the hot pavements or roads.
Spare a thought for those that can't speak for themselves - walk your dogs in the cool of the early morning or the evening.

Always carry water for your dogs.
It's great to see that here in the village of Porlock, just about every shop has a bowl of water outside their shop entrances.
Result? Happier dogs make happier customers!
