A SPITFIRE said thank you to NHS staff in Somerset today with flyovers at hospitals across the county.
Staff and visitors at Yeovil and Musgrove Park Hospitals were looking skyward today as the Thank You NHS aircraft passed overhead.
The Spitfire, launched earlier this year by the Aircraft Restoration Company as part of the Clap For Carers initiative, features the words 'Thank You NHS' painted on its underside, visible to onlookers on the ground.
And despite cloudy and wet conditions, the aircraft wowed viewers in Taunton at just after 2.45pm.
