DEVIZES police are appealing for witnesses after a middle-aged cyclist was injured in a collision with a car that did not stop.

Police were called to the bottom of Caen Hill, Devizes, just before 10.30am last Wednesday. A police spokesman said: “We responded to reports of a cyclist being hit by a car on August 26.

“It is reported a black Audi was involved in the collision with the male cyclist, in his 40s, and failed to stop.

"The bike was badly damaged and the cyclist was taken to RUH but his injuries are not thought to be serious.”
