LATEST FIGURES: There were two new coronavirus cases within the Somerset County Council area according to the latest figures from Public Health England
THERE were two new confirmed Covid-19 cases in Somerset recorded in the latest 24-hour period.
There was one positive test in Mendip and one in Sedgemoor in the period up to 5pm yesterday (Thursday).
There were no new cases identified in Somerset West and Taunton or South Somerset.
The total number of confirmed cases in Somerset has risen to 1,377.
The district totals are Mendip 155; Sedgemoor 409; Somerset West and Taunton 463; South Somerset 350.
No coronavirus related deaths were reported in the county council area over the same 24 hours.
