THOUSANDS of people had a sun-soaked weekend - in more ways than one.
Thurloxton Fruit Farm, near Taunton, hosted a special open weekend, opening up acres of sunflower fields for people to visit - all in a good cause.
The event, which saw thousands descend on the fields, was raising money for Kidney Research UK.

Visitors were charged £5 entry per adult and allowed to pick six stems to take home during the event, which ran on Saturday and Sunday (September 19 and 20).
A spokesperson for the farm said 100% of money raised would be donated to the charity.
"Charities have been hit hard this year," they added.
