DRIVERS are being warned of disruption as road works on three busy main routes through Weymouth are to begin.

Utility companies are to carry out work on Rodwell Road, Buxton Road and Wyke Road.

On September 27 there will be two-way temporary lights on Boot Hill for work by telecoms operator BT from 7pm.

Wessex Water will carry out maintenance work to sewers on Buxton Road from September 29 until October 1, and will also carry out work on Wyke Road between September 28 and September 30.

Work on Buxton Road involves cleaning roots from a sewer and the entrance of manhole under temporary two-way traffic lights on the stretch of highway outside numbers 76 to 83 Buxton Road.

Meanwhile on Wyke Road Wessex Water will carry out work to renew a stop tap, which will see 'give and take' traffic controls in place.

A temporary pedestrian walkway will also be provided outside numbers 60 to 62 while work is carried out on the footpath.
