TWO people have been charged with robbery and inflicting grievous bodily harm after a woman was allegedly attacked with a hammer and kicked in the head.
A 38-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man are due in court this morning following an incident at a block of flats in Sea Road, Boscombe at around 6pm on Thursday September 24.
Police were alerted after a woman was allegedly assaulted in a communal area and inside her own flat.
It was reported that a handbag, purse, mobile phone and keys were stolen.
A woman was taken to hospital for treatment to various injuries, including cuts and bruising to her head and face.
A 38-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man, both from Bournemouth, have been charged with robbery and grievous bodily harm with intent. They are due to appear before Poole Magistrates’ Court today.
Detective Constable Stuart Dalladay, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Our investigation into this incident remains ongoing and I would ask any members of the public who may have information that could assist our enquiries to please contact Dorset Police.”
