FIREFIGHTERS tackled a “deliberate” van fire this weekend.
Crews attended the fire in Hurcot, Somerton, at 9.38pm on Saturday (September 26).
A spokesperson from Somerton Fire Station said: “Crews were alerted by Fire Control this evening to a van fire.
“We used a breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and one thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
“The officer in charge believed this to be deliberate ignition as this vehicle had been abandoned here for some time prior to the incident.”
