IT is unknown when construction work will resume on a complex of retirement flats being built in Taunton.
Churchill Retirement Living halted work on the Riverain Lodge development off Tangier Way due to the coronavirus crisis.
The company says it is constantly reviewing the situation with regards to the scheme on the site of a former Lidl supermarket.
A spokesman said: "Work on Churchill Retirement Living’s new Riverain Lodge development on Tangier Way has been put on hold as part of our response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
"This is a situation we are keeping under constant review.
"When complete, Riverain Lodge will comprise 72 private, self-contained apartments specially designed for the over 60s.
