A TAUNTON bookshop have organised talks at the Brewhouse theatre - with the next one focusing on Shakespeare’s poetry.
Graham Fawcett will perform Shakespeare the Poet at the theatre on October 6.
He will show, with examples from the Shakespeare’s work, what distinguishes Shakespeare the dramatist from Shakespeare the poet, how the sonnets work, what relation there is between the longer poems and the plays, and where in particular the plays become poetry.
Graham Fawcett has worked as a writer, deviser, interviewer and presenter with BBC Radio Three lasted for twenty-five years until 2015 and has also broadcast on Radio 4, the World Service, and the Italian Service.
The event, organised in association with Brendon Books, will be at the Brewhouse theatre at 6.30pm.
