A COW stopped traffic moo-ving through Somerset this morning.
The animal was loose on the southbound carriageway between junctions 19 (Portishead) and 20 (Clevedon).
Police closed the stretch at around 7.30am.
A Highways England spokesperson said: "We've stopped all traffic south and will be stopping the traffic northbound shortly."
However, around 10 minutes later, the cow had moo-ved on.
"The cow has now safely returned to a field and is clear of live traffic.
"Thank you for your patience during this high steaks (sic) incident."
