A WOMAN was freed from a car after it left the road in a crash last night.
Fire crews stabilised the vehicle, which had left the road at Flaxpool Hill, Crowcombe, at around 7.15pm on Monday evening (October 12).
"One fire appliance from Williton, one from Nether Stowey and the Heavy Rescue Vehicle from Taunton were all sent to (the scene)," said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
"On arrival crews confirmed that the incident involved one vehicle that had left the highway with one person still inside.
"Crews stabilised the vehicle so that the female casualty could extricate herself, she was then taken into the care of ambulance personnel.
"To deal with the incident crews used a tirfor winch, stabilising equipment and lighting.
"The vehicle and scene were made safe and the incident handed over to the police."
