A FIRE broke out at a house in Bruton yesterday afternoon (October 13).
Fire crews were called to tackle the fire in a first floor bedroom at 1.48pm.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire & Rescue said: "One crew from Wincanton, one crew from Castle Cary and one crew for Gillingham attended.
"The crews confirmed that there had been a fire that was out on arrival and had caused a small amount of damage to the bedroom.
"The crews used a thermal imaging camera to check the bedroom and loft space to ensure the building was safe."
