A POPULAR Taunton market set up this weekend and organisers said it was a “tremendous success”.

More than 4000 people visited Taunton Independent Market on Sunday, October 11.

There were 50 stalls set up between Fore Street and Castle Green, with a range of products from plants to pasties.

Organiser, Michelle Beck, said: “I am absolutely thrilled that we have been able to hold Taunton Independent Market for the third time this year.

“It’s amazing to see all of our local producers and makers able to sell their products in such a beautiful, safe and positive environment

“We would like to extend a big thanks to everyone who has visited, all of our amazing stallholders and of course our supporters and sponsors who have helped make this possible.”

The next market is set to return on November 8.
