A "SUSPICIOUS" fire broke out in Crewkerne last night (October 17).
Fire crews from Crewkerne and Yeovil were called to Parkland, Crewkerne, to tackle a fire in a garage.
A spokesperson from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "The incident at 8.56pm involved a fire in a single storey semi detached garage.
"Crews extinguished the fire which had started in a plastic container, using two breathing apparatus wearers, one hosereel jet, one thermal image camera to check for hotspots and one covering jet.
"The cause of the fire was believed to be suspicious and police were informed."
