STUDENTS at a school in Taunton put their best foot forward in aid of a worthy cause at the weekend.

Years 3 to 13 at Queen’s College based in Trull Road took part in a series of Colour Runs on Saturday.

All proceeds are going to Love Musgrove, the official charity for nearby Musgrove Park Hospital.

Running in their Year Group ‘bubbles’, the students completed laps of the lower playing fields and were doused in coloured powder by staff at strategic points around the route.

“It was a wonderful whole college event,” said Head Teacher, Dr Lorraine Earps.

“It was great to see so many smiling faces and so many of our students not only running but also enjoying themselves while they did it.

“We are delighted to support the invaluable work of Love Musgrove - particularly as Musgrove Park Hospital is virtually on our doorstep.”

The deadline for students to collect in their sponsor money from the event is tomorrow (Friday, October 23).

The total will be handed over to Love Musgrove for its COVID-19 Response Fund at a later date.
