LINWOOD School in Bournemouth has closed its Linwood campus for half term early after a confirmed case of Covid-19.
The Alma Road school, which supports a range of special educational needs and disabilities, says it is working with Public Health Dorset, BCP Council and Public England South West to ensure that all necessary measures are being met.
A BCP Council spokesman confirmed: "Following advice from Public Health England due to the vulnerability of pupils, the decision has been made for the school to extend the half term break from Wednesday, October 21 for pupils attending the Linwood Campus.
"Those attending other campuses are unaffected.
"All close contacts of the suspected cases have been notified and advised to self-isolate for 14 days as a precaution.
"Contacts should get tested if they go on to develop symptoms.
"Even if people test negative, they must still self-isolate for 14 days."
