DID you know that the world's largest kettle was built in Taunton?
With 43 times the capacity of a standard kettle, the largest copper kettle was built in Taunton for the hardware merchants Fisher & Son in the 19th century.
The copper kettle stood 0.9 metres (three feet) high, with a 1.8 metre (six foot) girth and a 90 litre capacity.
This fun fact comes courtesy of Big Domain, who have taken 10 classic everyday British items and illustrated them to scale with the biggest of their kind - according to the Guinness Book of Records.
