STUDENTS are isolating at a school in Taunton after a pupil tested positive for Covid-19.
Those who were in close contact with the pupil at Norton Fitzwarren Church School will now have to isolate for 14 days.
Kelly Birt, acting headteacher, said: "We are working closely with the Department of Education and Public Health England to support pupils, parents and staff following one confirmed case of Covid-19 at Norton Fitzwarren Church School.
"All the correct procedures were followed immediately; those children who have been in close contact with the confirmed case are now self-isolating for the recommended fourteen days.
"They continue to receive high quality learning provision via our online blended learning programme.
"We would like to thank our school community for their support and understanding."
