POLICE used three cars to box in and stop a driver during an operation yesterday (Thursday).
A number of Tactical Pursuit And Containment units joined the search for the vehicle after it was driven off in West Somerset.
After officers caught up with the driver on the A38 at Monkton Heathfield, they were found to be uninsured and the vehicle was unlicensed.
A spokesperson for the Avon and Somerset Roads Policing Unit took to social media to report that three police cars were used to "safely stop, contain and seize the car".
The spokesperson added: "Driver wanted lift to Cornwall.
"Driver did not receive lift to Cornwall."
