A SOMERSET school managed to raise more than £1,000 for Children in Need this year.
Pupils at Millfield Prep School and Millfield Pre-Prep school took part in a non-uniform day on Friday, November 13.
The students and staff at the Street school managed to raise a total of £920 for Children in Need.
The school Chaplain took Pudsey bear for socially-distanced visits to all classes.
Students also enjoyed a Pudsey-themed lunch.
Milfield Prep Equestrian managed to raise an additional £550 for Children in Need after they hosted a showjumping competition.
Pupils from Year 2 up to Year 8 took part, with a total of 26 riders competing in fancy dress costumes and fun onesies.
Riders competed in six different classes, with heights from one metre to 40cm, with the winners being presented with rosettes.
Millfield Prep's director of equestrian, Hayley Newman, said: "It was a really fun event and all of the children enjoyed it tremendously. It was fantastic to give them the opportunity to compete and raise money for a brilliant cause."
