A MAN had to be rescued from a roof after falling from scaffolding this lunchtime (Monday).
Fire fighters and an ambulance crew were called to the incident in Bere Lane, Glastonbury, at 1.22pm.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "One fire appliance from Glastonbury was requested to attend by the ambulance to assist with rescuing a male casualty from a roof after a fall from scaffolding.
"The ambulance hazardous area response team was in attendance, and crews worked with a 135 ladder and safety-at-heights equipment to support the rescue of the casualty.
"The aerial ladder platform from Yeovil was also mobilised as a precaution, but not required in the end.
"Duty of care was left with the ambulance service."
