PLEASE, please don't do what David Fothergill (leader of Somerset County Council) said the council wanted to do.
Please don't encourage a university here in Taunton.
Just look at Falmouth, the town and surrounding areas are dreadful. House landlords do not keep properties looking decent and students don't know how to behave around residents who have lived there for years. A lot of residents are leaving the county because of the student effect.
