Do escooters need policing?
PLEASE can someone tell me who is policing the electric scooters that have appeared on our streets?
As far as I can see they are being used recklessly by young people at quite a dangerous speed in the town.
I personally have seen them ridden by two people at a time, as well as speeding past me on the pavement with no indication of them coming up behind me, also darting on to the road regardless of oncoming traffic.
In my opinion they are an accident waiting to happen.
Do they need a licence? And what happens to us pedestrians in that scenario with insurance claims?
