A CASUALTY was rescued after a three-vehicle crash in a Somerset town yesterday (December 13).

Three fire engines attended the incident on Wells High Street at 6.03pm, alongside a heavy rescue vehicle from Glastonbury.

Fire crews rescued the casualty and left them in the care of South Western Ambulance Service.

A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "Fire control received a call reporting a three vehicle road traffic collision.

"It was reported that there was one casualty still within a vehicle.

"Crews got the work with hydraulic equipment and successfully rescued one casualty."
