A TANKER lorry caught fire in Yeovil yesterday (December 15).
Fire engines from Somerton, Yeovil and Martock, and a water foam carrier from Yeovil attended the incident at 2.14pm, on the A303 Podimore Roundabout.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "On arrival crews found there to be a small fire within the drive train of a milk waste tanker, and set to work using two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.
"The tanker contents were still safely contained within the tanker.
"Crews quickly extinguished the fire and continued to monitor the temperature with a thermal imaging camera, before leaving the incidents in the hands of the police and recovery."
