DOZENS of people gathered in Taunton town centre this afternoon to say a final goodbye to Chris Hodgson.
Buses carried the message 'Chris Hodgson Rest in peace' as a tribute to Chris, who had worked as a bus driver before his untimely death at the age of 49.
We reported yesterday (Monday) how Chris, who had previously worked as a traffic warden, suffered a heart attack while driving a bus in the Dulverton area.
He was treated at Musgrove Park Hospital but died in his sleep days later at home in the Priorswood area.
His funeral was held at Taunton Deane Crematorium this afternoon (Tuesday).
Beforehand, the cortege made its way through the town centre, where several friends and colleagues lined up in front of the Market House.
Chris, who was born in Taunton and attended Heathfield School, leaves a widow, Liz, a son and a daughter and two stepsons.
