A FURTHER 378 positive Covid-19 tests were recorded in Somerset in the latest daily figures.
The highest total was in Somerset West and Taunton, where there were 115 new confirmed cases, taking the district's overall total since the start of the pandemic to 3,488.
South Somerset saw 99 positive tests, pushing its total up to 3,197.
There were 95 new confirmed cases in Sedgemoor, where the total is now 3,270.
And Mendip had 69 new cases and now totals 2,004.
Overall in the county council area, there have been 12,159 positive cases since the start of the pandemic.
The latest rolling seven-day figures show 461 new confirmed cases in South Somerset at an infection rate of 273.8 per 100,000 of population.
The 745 positive tests in SWT lift its infectin rate to 480.3 per 100,000.
Sedgemoor saw 592 new cases confirmed over the seven days for a rate of 480.6.
Mendip recorded 291 positive tests and was the only district to see a decrease in its rate to 251.8.
