STAFF at Homesense in Taunton donated a range of gifts to a young people in need at Christmas.

The gifts were donated to Youth Unlimited CIC, a not-for-profit community interest company who provide professional services to support young people in the community.

They also received a £500 cheque from the TK Maxx and Homesense Foundation, after they were nominated for the funding by Homesense staff.

Director of Youth Unlimited CIC, Craig Lloyd, said they were "delighted" to receive the "generous donation".

"Our youth clubs have been closed since the first Covid-19 lockdown but we have continued to offer support to young people directly and safely in communities, parks and in the streets or wherever young people choose.

"The gifts were all very gratefully received, many of the young people were visibly moved by the kindness and have asked that we thank the Homesense staff for their thoughtfulness.

"We would also like to offer our thanks for the gifts and also for the £500 cheque we have just received from the T K Maxx and Homesense Foundation.

"This generosity is so valuable these days to ensure our supportive services continue to engage with the vulnerable young people in our communities."

The £500 will be used to buy resources for Youth Unlimited work projects to support the young people.
