POLICE issued seven fixed penalty notices after people travelled from Bristol to Cheddar gorge to "sit and eat kebabs".
The incident happened yesterday evening (January 9) when police found the vehicles and told them to leave.
The fixed penalty notices were given for a breach of Covid-19 legislation.
According to the latest Government advice, you are only allowed to leave the house for essential activities, such as shopping, to provide care or for work if you cannot work from home.
Patrols of Cheddar Gorge this evening resulted in multiple vehicles being dispersed and 7 fixed penalty notices being issued for breaching Covid-19 legislation. Travelling from Bristol to Cheddar to sit and eat kebabs in your vehicle is not a reasonable excuse! #staysafe
