has now been repaired and water is being restored to people's homes.

A Wessex Water spokesperson said: "Our main repairs have now been completed and customers’ water supplies should be fully restored shortly.

"We’d like to apologise again for the disruption caused by this morning’s burst and thank the community for their patience."

A NUMBER of homes in Wiveliscombe are without water this morning (Monday) due to a burst main.

Wessex Water is supplying water to customers without supplies or with low pressure as repairs are carried out.

And bottled water is being made available at the town's cricket club.

A Wessex Water spokesperson said: "Wessex Water is repairing a burst water main in Wiveliscombe that is affecting some customers’ supply this morning.

"Bottled water is available at Wiveliscombe Cricket Club (TA4 2TA) for those without water or experiencing low pressure as a result of the burst."

They added: "The burst pipe is located in a field and we are supplying water to the area using tankers, but some people will still be without water or have low pressure while we carry out repairs as quickly as possible.

“We’ve updated customers via text message and our social media channels this morning.

"We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused.”
