A PRIMARY school in Taunton has joined the Huish Multi Academy Trust (MAT), alongside The Taunton Academy, West Buckland Primary, North Curry Primary, North Town Primary and Nerrols Primary.
Lyngford Park Primary School is the latest to join the trust, which is run by the Richard Huish Education Group.
The group is a charitable organisation, created by Richard Huish College to support local schools.
“We are extremely excited to have welcomed Lyngford Park Primary school to the Huish Trust and look forward to working with Sarah and her team," said Richard Huish Education Group CEO John Abbott.
"The partnership will create a range of opportunities which will benefit all organisations through the sharing of best practice and resources.
"It will also further contribute to our educational vision and ambitions to deliver exceptional education across primary, secondary and further education in our communities.”
Lyngford Park will retain its autonomy, but benefit from working closely with the partners at MAT.
The school was rated good by Ofsted at its last inspected in October 2017.
Sarah Loader, headteacher at the primary school, added: “We are delighted to have joined the Richard Huish Education Group and are looking forward greatly to working with colleagues to provide the best education for the children in the trust.”
