THE sale of homes on a new estate being built on the outskirts of Taunton have has just been launched with one-to-one virtual tours.

Nerrols Grange, with 235 homes and an expansion of the Northwalls Grange under three miles from the county town centre, is being created by Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes.

It features a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes from Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, as well as a new primary school already open.

Road improvements, including two new pedestrian crossings, new footpaths and bus stops will also be funded with almost £600,000 from Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes.

The construction of Nerrols Grange will support more than 700 new jobs over the lifetime of the development.

The new Barratt Homes sales centre and show homes are now open by appointment only in line with the government's official guidance and with a full range of safety and social distancing procedures in place.

Prospective buyers can also book a virtual appointment with a sales adviser for a live, personalised video tour around the show homes and wider development using a specially-mounted smartphone. The David Wilson Homes show homes will launch next month.

In addition, 360 videos of the homes and virtual fly-through tours are also available for each development on the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes websites.

Interest in the new homes at Nerrols Grange is high with almost 2,000 people already registering their interest via the developers' websites.

Andrea Pilgrim, sales director at Barratt Homes, Bristol, said: "Nerrols Grange is the latest element of the beautiful Northwalls Grange development - surrounded by the Somerset countryside and within easy reach of Taunton town centre, the railway station and the M5.

"Whilst the new show homes will also be open for appointments in person, we're really pleased to also be offering one-to-one, personalised tours via smartphone.

"Our sales advisers can literally walk people round our stunning show homes and developments, showing them each room, answering questions and giving customers the chance to look at whatever detail they wish, from storage solutions to the view through the window."

Louise Ware, sales director for Barratt David Wilson Homes South West said: "Interest in the brand new homes at Nerrols Grange is already really high, but people are rightly staying at home and reducing travel as much as possible in line with the current lockdown.

"So we hope that our new, one-to-one live video tours will give people the chance to get a feel for these beautiful new homes, designed to meet the needs of a range of buyers from first-time buyers to growing families and people looking to downsize."
