SIX Minehead residents won £1,000 yesterday (January 27).
The Hawthorn Road neighbours received the money after their postcode - TA24 8EP - was announced as a daily prize winner in the People's Postcode Lottery.
“I’m over the moon for our winners in Minehead," said People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Matt Johnson.
"A big congratulations to everyone. I hope they celebrate tonight and enjoy spending the cash.”
This draw was promoted for of Postcode Culture Trust which has a mission to inspire learning, understanding and appreciation of science, music, arts and culture.
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £600 million to date for good causes.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
