AN investigation into arson has been opened after a barn fire in Taunton on Friday (February 19).
Police are appealing for witnesses as they have established the cause of the blaze in Creech St Michael was "suspicious".
Officers were alerted to the fire at 10pm, and the blaze continued into the night.

"Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue tackled the blaze and fire examiners have now established the cause was suspicious," said a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police.
"No-one was injured in the fire.
"Enquiries continue and anyone with information which could help is asked to call 101 quoting reference 5221036886.
"Alternatively ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. They never tell the police who you are, just what you know."
There was also another fire in Bridgwater during the early hours of this morning (February 21).

Police have said they do not yet know if this fire is linked to the Creech St Michael barn fire on Friday.
