TRIBUTES have been paid to an Somerset doctor whose work in emergency medicine will leave 'a lasting legacy.'
Dr Clifford Mann OBE worked at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton as a consultant in emergency medicine.
A spokesperson for Somerset NHS Foundation Trust paid tribute to Dr Mann and said he an 'integral' part of Musgrove Park Hospital.
"We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our colleague and friend Dr Cliff Mann OBE," said the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust spokesperson.
"Cliff was an integral part of Musgrove Park Hospital and the Somerset FT family, both as a consultant in Emergency Medicine since 1999 and before that as a trainee.
"Cliff’s contribution to the work of our emergency department at Musgrove Park, and in his national roles across the whole sphere of emergency medicine, will leave a lasting legacy and tribute to his influence and expertise.
"Our thoughts today are with his family, his friends and colleagues."
