POLICE are trying to trace a gang of young people who fled when approached in a Taunton park - leaving behind their scooters and tools.
PCSO George, of the Taunton Neighbourhood Team, was on foot patrol in the Priorswood area when he became aware of a group of around 10 young people gathered in Lyngford Park.
"The group, of approximately 10 youths, ran off ... leaving behind two scooters, a hammer and a screwdriver," said a police spokesperson.
"PCSO George has taken the items for safekeeping.
"We would like to reunite the scooters with their owners, please get in touch if your son or daughter came home minus their scooter."
Anyone wishing to claim the items can contact police on 101.
