A MAN has died after a collision near Watchet on Tuesday (February 23).
Police are appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision on the B3191 Cleeve Hill just after 6.45pm.
The collision involved a male pedestrian, who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, and a Range Rover.
The man's family are being supported by a specially-trained family liaison officer.
"Collision investigators are keen to hear from anyone who saw either the car or the pedestrian before the collision," said an Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson.
"It is not clear which way the pedestrian was walking, but the silver Range Rover was being driven towards Blue Anchor.
"The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was wearing a dark-coloured gilet and gloves but his arms were bare.
"If you can help, please call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5221039619."
