A GROUP of people from Taunton have been fined for heading to Dartmoor in breach of the Covid restrictions.
When they were stopped by Tavistock Police, the Covidiots from the county town gave the excuse that they 'don't like Taunton'.
A spokesperson for Tavistock Police took to social media at the weekend to criticise the group, along with other people who were issued with tickets.
In a tweet, they said: "Nine tickets have been issued for people breaching regulations across Dartmoor and Yelverton airfield.
"Coming from Weymouth for a walk or travelling to Dartmoor because you don't like Taunton or just going out for a drive are not reasonable excuses!"
