THIS former Taunton pub has been in recent years been a restaurant just off the town centre.
It used to be the Star Inn, in Middle Street.
Paul Williams sent us this picture of the pub taken around 100 years ago.
The landlord at the time was his grandfather, Frederick Spratt.
Pictured outside are two of his daughters - the younger one, aged about ten at the time, is Mr Williams's mother.
Nowadays, the premises is occupied by The Bank restaurant.
The restaurant has previously been the Middle Street Revival and The Sanctuary.
