Two roads remain closed
HIGHWAYS teams have been busy clearing up after "11 incidents" on roads across Somerset following the strong winds.
But two roads are currently still closed.
Kingston Road, in Kingston Mary, just outside Taunton, and Quarry Lane, in Leigh-on-Mendip, near Shepton Mallet, have not been completely cleared yet.
A Travel Somerset spokesperson said: "The past 24 hours have brought havoc on our roads.
"Our highways team have done a fantastic job attending 11 incidents across the county.
"However, two roads remain closed."
Workers have spent most of the day clearing away fallen trees in several locations.
