THE Bishop's Palace in Wells has announced it will be hosting six productions this summer - but outdoors.

The landmark's outdoor theatre season for 2021 will be on the south lawn of the palace gardens.

Robin O' The Greenwood will be showing on Friday, June 25 at 6pm.

Storyteller Beth Webb and folk singer Neil Eaton will provide an evening of traditional tales, songs, and a little bit of history.

Visitors will be transported back to the early 1200s - to the day when an unwed great granddaughter of the King of the Scots gave birth to a baby boy, and she called him Robin.

The Great Gastby will be performed on July 14 by Heartbreak Productions and the Nick Carraway Quartet.

Mr Stink (a novel by David Walliams), again performed by Heartbreak Productions, will be performed on July 15.

On July 25, The Lord Chamberlain's Men will be performing Macbeth.

The Wind in the Willows will be shown on August 5 and Murder on the Improvised Express will be on August 19 and 20.
