A TALK is being held tomorrow via Zoom on behalf of the save Easthill field in Frome campaign.

Talking about Trees with Julian Hight will take place tomorrow (March 19) from 6.30pm until 7.30pm.

Mr Hight is an ancient tree specialist who will be sharing knowledge about the trees and the biodiversity they support.

"We will watch a short film about Easthill, Frome and get to know some of the veteran trees growing there," said a spokesperson for Friends of Easthill field.

"Discover how these huge giants are of environmental and historical value, learn facts about the oak, the sycamore and the lime tree that are not widely known, and delight in the landscape and wildlife of this precious field that is only a short walk from the centre of Frome.

"After the film Julian and the Friends of Easthill Field will answer your questions about Easthill and its trees in particular, and the importance of preserving veteran trees and this ancient type of landscape in general."
