SCENE: In the Wyke Lane area
A YOUNG motorcyclist has died following a collision on a road in Somerset.
The man, in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash involving a car in the Wyke Lane area, near Wyke Champflower, Bruton.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the fatal collision at around 4.20pm yesterday (Tuesday, March 23).
The road remained closed until 2.30am this morning while investigations were carried out.
The man's family have been informed.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "We’d ask anyone with dashcam footage or who saw what happened, to call 101 and give crime reference number 5221062284."
