IT will be a shame for Taunton to lose its name as the “Flower Town of the South West”, but this is likely to happen, I fear.
On the Monkton Heathfield site we are littered with dead trees and unkept areas of planted beds.
A number of the residents are concerned about the standards and it seems none of our councils have a say about anything.

Just a few years ago, the main park here was turfed during the hot season and just left to be rescued by the valiant efforts of some residents who watered it - as covered by the local paper.
These poor standards seem to be acceptable to the developers, which is a very sad thought, especially with Monkton Heathfield 2 to start.
