SHOPPERS were out in force at the Taunton Independent Market on the town's Castle Green today (Sunday).
The street market showcases some of the best producers of food, drink, crafts, homewares, beauty and fashion - with an emphasis on shopping local.
It is initially being held on the second Sunday of each month on Castle Green with 50 stalls while Covid restrictions are in place.
The aim is to grow the market to 150 to 200 stalls, utilising the town's public spaces such as North Street, Hammet Street, St James Street, East Street if pedestrianised and Goodland Gardens once Covid restrictions are lifted.
