POLICE investigating a theft in a supermarket have issued a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify.
Police believe he may have information about the theft of a purse in the store in West End, Street.
A woman customer had dropped the purse containing cash and cards in the shop on Sunday, March 28, at 7pm.
Unsuccessful attempts were later made to use the woman's bank card.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "We're investigating the incident as theft incident."
The man in the image is described as white, with dark hair and was wearing a black jacket or coat over a black and white top.
If you recognise him, have seen a small black purse discarded nearby, or have any other information which could help, call police on 101 quoting reference 5221066494.
